RISE is marking 50 years from the moment of the first crewed mission to the surface of the Moon by unveiling a Memorial Plaque during an event at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest. The plaque depicts the crew of the Apollo 11 mission: Neil A. Armstrong, Edwin A. Aldrin and Michael Collins. The unveiling and the reception was coordinated by the Romanian Space Agency and took place in the presence of representatives from the U.S. Embassy in Romania.
Although a start-up, RISE is dedicated to the promotion of space activities for the benefit of mankind and the continuous technological advancement and learning opportunity the sector brings. We hope students, instructors and visitors will be both humbled by the Apollo 11 achievement, but also embolden in their pursuits.
